Spelt Flour
Our Spelt Flour is a great all purpose baking flour. From pastries to breads, it can do it all!
Our Spelt is grown by us in an Organic crop rotation and custom stone milled by our friends at Local Millers in Columbus. https://localmillers.com/
Spelt bread recipe: 1 1/4 cup warm water
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 3/4 cups spelt flour
1 cup bread flour
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
Combine flours, instant yeast and sea salt in the bowl of a stand mixer. Add in olive oil, honey and warm water. Using the dough hook, knead for 7 minutes. Grease the bowl and allow the dough to rise 1 hour, or until doubled. On a floured work surface, shape the dough into a loaf. Place in a lightly greased loaf pan. Cover with a towel and allow to rise 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
